In today´s business world it is necessary to possess an image - beautiful "Hollywood smile" forms an inseparable part of an aesthetic dentistry. One of the most recently used methods is to fix on teeth thin ceramic plates so-called adhesive ceramic facets. The classical procedure fixing the ceramic plates on teeth represents 6 ceramic facets on incisor and canine teeth in an upper jaw.

With a help of ceramic facets the client can be freed from unaestetic gaps between his front teeth, disturbing colouring and position of teeth, anomalous position of the front teeth, aesthetic defects resulting from fractures and teeth erosion or multiple fillings in front teeth.

For client with otherwise healthy teeth two visits to a dentist will be sufficient to apply the facets. During the first visit the dentist makes client´s teeth impressions and under local anaesthesia performs slight abrasion of the client´s teeth in maximum of 0.4 mm. The dental lab will need approximately 10 days to construct the facets. The client will be provided with provisional teeth for the time being. During the second visit the temporary teeth will be removed and the facets will be tried on. If satisfactory from the function and aesthetic point of view the facets will be attached permanently.

The procedure of applying ceramic facets is a painless procedure performed under local anaesthesia.
